Reiki Healing

Reiki is a form of alternative therapy referred to as energy healing. It involves the transfer of energy by laying on hands.

 

Reiki is a simple and profound healing technique produced by Mikao Usui, from Japan, to help someone heal the body, mind and spirit to a state of wholeness and balance producing a higher vibratory frequency enabling each person to channel larger amounts of energy and raising the vibratory level of the planet as a whole.

The Japanese characters used in the work Reiki, when translated, mean soul energy, mysterious spirit life force.

Ki – is the life force. As long as something is alive, it has life force circulating through it and surrounding it. if your life force is low or if there is a restriction in its flow you will be more vulnerable to illness.

Rei – is the God consciousness taht guides the life force called Ki in the practice we cann Reiki. Therefore Reiki can be defined as spiritually guided life force energy.

Chakra translates to “wheel”. The chakras are the guarantors of physical health, emotional stability and mental clairvoyance of the human being.

The 7 chakras in the body are distinct energy centers that start at the top of your head and end at the bottom of your spine. They regulate all parts of your bodily system, influencing everything from emotional processing to resistance to disease.

Chakra balancing is the process of restoring a harmonious flow of energy across the chakra system. In other words, it is the process through which the energy of the chakras is brought to a well functioning and harmonious state.

Before a reiki session I would use chakra healing stones, crystals or colours to support chakra balancing activities.
